2025 Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival – Date Change Notice to 29th – 31st August 2025

The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival has been rescheduled to the 29th – 31st August 2025 with the full event program carrying over to the new dates.

After careful consideration and consultation with event organisers, the decision has been made to reschedule Dirt n Dust Festival 2025 due to ongoing adverse weather conditions, including road closures, hazardous travel, and significant challenges in event logistics.

Currently all access roads to Julia Creek remain closed, and while there is hope they may reopen in the next couple of weeks persistent boggy conditions could remain a substantial risk to the safety of festival attendees, rodeo stock, volunteers, and event staff.

The postponement of the event will ensure we will be able to provide a fun and safe festival environment for all attendees in August!

Ticket Holders: If you have already purchased tickets to this event, your tickets will remain valid for the new August event dates. If you are unable to attend in August, you will be able to apply for a refund. We will be in touch with ticket holders in the coming week.

If you’ve booked a site at the Julia Creek Caravan Park you will also be offered a refund or option to transfer your booking to the August event dates, please reach out to the Julia Creek Caravan Park.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the communities in Outback Queensland who are facing the devastating impact of flooding. Our thoughts are with those affected, and we extend our support to those working tirelessly to support recovery efforts during this challenging time.

To our sponsors, volunteers, partners, vendors, and the Julia Creek community we thank you for your unwavering support. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you at a safer, more enjoyable event on 29th – 31st August 2025.
